United in the Community are celebrating after receiving a £50,000 donation from the Medlock Charitable Trust. The donation will help support UITC with the cost of running their education programme, which includes various BTEC Sport Courses for young people in Lincolnshire.

UITC offer a comprehensive range of subjects for students, including BTEC Sport Level 1 to 3 extended diploma qualifications. There is also an enrichment programme available where students can obtain FA Coaching and Sports Leader UK qualifications, as well as other NGB Sports coaching qualifications.

In addition to the core education programme, course leaders also organise various activities and incentives for students, with previous activities including trips to the Emirates Stadium Home of Arsenal FC and Wembley Stadium, paint balling, camping and to play football games against RAF Representative teams.

David Medlock from Medlock Charitable Trust said, “The Trust is delighted that these young athletes can become role models in the community.”

Nick Reeson, Community Manager said, “We are very grateful to Medlock Charitable Trust for recognising the great work we do in our local communities, and the unique opportunity that we present to our students. We have an unrivalled education programme, which has only been made possible with the type of funding we receive from organisations like Medlock Charitable Trust. We are very grateful for their generous donation of £50,000.”

Steve Welsh, Youth Team Manager and College Lecturer for UITC said, “We offer a fantastic education programme for our students and this donation will allow us to offer a much wider scope and enable us to continue the education work we do and more!”
