Girls RTC Graduate makes Ladies Football Team debut
7 March 2017
Defender Hope Harold has become the first Boston United Girls Regional Talent Club player to play for their Ladies football team!
Congratulations to Under 16 player Hope Harold, who started in the team during their recent 4-0 home win against Thurlby Tigers.
Hope becomes the first Girls RTC player to represent the Ladies Team in a competitive fixture, and also becomes the teams’ youngest player, at 16 years and 41 days.
Boston United Ladies Manager Nick Reeson said, “Everybody at the club is extremely happy for Hope. She slotted in comfortably at Left Back and produced an outstanding performance. Hope is someone we had identified in recent weeks who we felt deserved an opportunity. Hopefully there will be opportunities for other players within our Under 16s to make the jump in to our Ladies Team and get a taste of senior football, as it is something we are very keen to do as a club. We have a good set of Under 16 players and I’m hoping that a few more will be given that opportunity towards the end of the season.”
Hope has been with Boston United for a couple of years now, working her way through the Community Football Club before entering the Girls RTC at the start of this season. She is now enjoying her opportunity to play in the Ladies team.
Boston United Ladies are back in action this Sunday when they host Wisbech St Mary in a Women’s Championship North League Fixture at Peter Paine Performance Centre. (2:00pm Kick Off). The team currently train every Friday at Peter Paine – if you would like the opportunity to train and play with Boston United’s Ladies football team, please email email@example.com or call (01205) 364406.
