Boston United Ladies Goalkeeper, Olivia Clark has received her first senior international call-up. The 16-year-old has been included in the combined Wales Women’s Senior Squad and B squad camp in January 2018.

It has been quite a month for the teenager, who has also been called up to the Wales Women’s Under 19 squad for the first time following trials this year.

Olivia has started in all but one of the Pilgrims’ Ladies matches this season and has only conceded two goals so far, so this Senior Squad call-up is fantastic testament to Olivia’s skills and dedication.

“It’s another feather in the cap for the football club, but the main thing is that it is well deserved. We think a lot of Olivia at Boston United and she is a brilliant goalkeeper for the Ladies. It seems that when Olivia went for the recent Under 19 trials, they must think a lot if her to include her in the senior squad so soon after. She’s got lots of potential and hopefully this is just the start of even more international recognition for Olivia,” said Ladies Manager Nick Reeson.

This is the second international call up for the Pilgrims in the last week, with Boston United Girls Regional Talent Club Under 16 player Jess Edwards receiving her first international call up to the Scotland Women’s Under 16s training camp in January.

Everyone at Boston United is delighted for Olivia and would like to wish her good luck in what will be an excellent experience.

At Boston United Girls Regional Talent Club, there are opportunities for female players from Under 9 to Under 11 (pre-Girls RTC) and Under 12 to Under 16 to receive training and play competitive fixtures.
