Health and Physical Activity
We work hard to help increase health and physical activity levels and promote healthy lifestyles.
We want to help people to stay fit and active through our diverse range of sports activities and initiatives. We are committed to supporting people and help to increase health and physical activity through our various programmes, including our Active Pilgrims.
Our aim is to improve the level of health and physical activity by utilising the power of sport and the Boston United Football Club brand to create opportunities that are both accessible and affordable for adults and children, regardless of age and gender. We want to give a variety of opportunity to participate in healthy activities in their communities, from infants right through to the elderly.
We also want our programmes to help educate the community about the importance of being fit and staying healthly, to provide exercise and nutrition advice and help people have a sense of belonging as part of a group to motivate them to participate on a regular basis.
Our health and physical activity programmesare delivered in a variety of locations and settings across theBorough of Boston.There are activities for all age groups, levels and abilities, which are led by qualified health and fitness professionals to ensure a high quality, fun andpositive experience for all participants.
Active Pilgrims for Adults
Active Pilgrims is a project that was created thanks to funding from Sport England and The National League Trust. It is all about creating and developing affordable and accessible opportunities for adults to participate in a wide variety of sport in Boston. The project is available to various sectors of the community, including disabled people, semi sporty people and those who have dropped their levels of participation.
We offer a range of physical activity sessions including badminton, walking football and basketball. All sessions of our Active Pilgrims sessions are available for males and females aged 16 years and over.
