New flag initiative at Boston United
29th February 2016
At Boston United Football Club and United in the Community, we’re constantly looking at introducing innovative ways that get the local community involved at first team games at The Jakemans Stadium.
With this in mind – we have launched a new and very exciting flag waving initiative for children. Those that take part will get to wave flags whilst walking around the pitch before kick-off and welcome first team players on to the pitch by forming a guard of honour. We also have a large flag which offers the opportunity for teenagers and adults to be a flag bearer and lead the players out of the tunnel.
We have asked our Community Football Clubs and Centre of Excellence teams along with a number of local schools if they would like to get involved at the remaining home games. The uptake has been great so far – especially since it’s the perfect opportunity to get more involved at Boston United Football Club which sits at the heart of the local community.
If you or your school would like the opportunity to become a flag bearer for Boston United Football Club on the pitch, please contact Ceri Jackson on email@example.com or call (01205) 364406.
We also welcomed our United Cheer Team on February 27th, who will be joining us on match days to perform a variety of routines and stunts. Our United Cheer Team, led by head coach Nicola Drummond, will offer match day entertainment with wow-factor performances before the match and at half time. They will also help form part of the guard of honour with the flags. For more information about our cheerleaders, visit our United Cheer Team page.
We are also seeking a main sponsor for our cheerleading team – if you’d like to boost your company’s exposure whilst supporting a community initiative, please contact Ceri Jackson on firstname.lastname@example.org or call (01205) 364406.
