Pilgrims Goalz open for Summer!
3rd July 2015
United in the Community’s Pilgrims Goalz youth club at Focus One, Mill Road are holding a number of summer holiday clubs over the school break – the perfect way to keep young people aged 11 to 18 years busy with lots of fun things to do.
Young people taking part will enjoy a variety of outdoor and indoor games including pool and table tennis, have the opportunity to gain lifelong skills and cooking skills, learn about healthy eating, play a variety of sports, listen to music, meet new friends and socialise with peers. There will also be the opportunity to take part in a variety of trips and win competitions.
Each day is 10am to 3pm and costs just £5. They will take place every Monday, Thursday and Friday from 27th July to 28th August.
Lewis Wright, Inclusion Officer says “The main aim of our Pilgrims Goalz youth club is to give more young people a safe place to socialise with their peers, so these summer holiday clubs are perfect because it gives these young people something worthwhile to do over the summer holidays and a real sense of purpose. They will also help them to increase physical activity and gain lifelong skills that will help in their futures. It also gives them the opportunity to learn new things and to see new places by coming along on trips.”
