Tiana called up for England Squad

7th December 2016

Congratulations Tiana Hicks – our second Boston United Girls RTC player to receive a call up to the England Squad’s national sides! Tiana has been put on standby for England U17’s Woman’s side when they meet up for a training camp in December 16th-19th.

This is great news and we are delighted for Tiana to have received national recognition for her performances. Tiana has come right through the system with Boston United, playing for the Community side under Dwane Groves, and then joining up with RTC U16’s at the start of the season, where Kyle Edwards and Holly Maidens have overseen her development.

This is another statement of intent – to give girls the chance and opportunity to play at the highest levels and reach national honours. In our short existence, we have seen two players reach National sides, three players at Regional Excellence Camps and another at National performance camps – an excellent start for us!

Girls RTC Under-16s update

Well done to our Girls RTC Under-16s, who recently won their fixture against Durham.

The team, who are part of the FA Girls’ England Talent Pathway / RTC Tier 2/3 North are doing exceptionally well considering they are a newly formed team this year, and are playing against teams that have been established for years. The team are currently 4th in their league. Well done girls, keep up the good work!

If you’d like to sponsor the team, please email me on for details.
