BUFC U19 player joins first team

28th August 2021

All of the staff at Boston United are extremely proud that a member of our Under 19 Youth Team and college student player, Finlay Armond, has signed his first senior registration forms and been given a squad number with the club’s First Team.

Finlay has been training regularly with the first team squad alongside a couple of other youth players. This really is testament to his attitude and desire to continually develop his game.

Mark Thompson, Youth Team manager, said “We are ecstatic for FInlay – he’s a great player and has a great attitude both on and off the pitch.

For our youth development programme, this really does show there is a clear pathway all the way through to club, from our Tiny Pilgrims sessions, to our junior and youth teams, right up to the first team.

“We would like to thank the first team staff and players for making the youth team players who go to training with them, feel welcome and a part of the group.”

Finlay has been with the club for several years, and is currently a student with the club’s BTEC College programme and captain for the Under 19 Youth Team.
