What is Coach Academy?
The Boston United Coach Academy is a development pathway for students aged 16–19 enrolled on our Sport, Business, Personal Training, or Higher Education courses. Alongside your main qualification, you gain real coaching experience with the Boston United Community Foundation, building the skills, confidence, and qualifications needed for a future career in:
Sport coaching
PE teaching
Sports development
Community coaching
All coaching hours count towards your enrichment programme, taking place outside your normal timetable.

Whether you're aiming for a career in sport, education, or community coaching, you'll graduate with valuable qualifications and real-world experience.

Level 1 Coaching Badge
Child Protection & Safeguarding Certificate
Emergency First Aid Qualification
Enhanced DBS Check
Students who demonstrate commitment, professionalism, and complete the required voluntary coaching hours may also progress to:
Level 2 Coaching Qualification(subject to performance, engagement, and professionalism throughout the programme).

You'll also learn how to adapt coaching sessions for different ages, abilities, and participants with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring your coaching is inclusive, engaging, and effective.
