A Massive Congratulations to Richard Cropley!

A massive congratulations to our Walking Football player, Richard Cropley, who proudly represented England this week in a special Walking Football team for players living with heart conditions or Parkinson’s.

Richard and his England teammates kicked off their campaign against Forvik, the Over-45s World Club Winners, securing an impressive 1–0 victory in their opening game!

Four friendly matches followed, including a fixture against Morecambe. The team showed great determination throughout, drawing three games before finishing their run with a 2–0 defeat in their final match.

Richard is already looking ahead to his next adventure, as he prepares to travel to Spain next week to continue his Walking Football journey.

Reflecting on the experience, Richard said:

“To be involved in something like this at my age is incredible.”

We couldn’t be prouder of Richard and his achievement in representing England. It’s fantastic to see Walking Football providing opportunities, bringing people together and showing that the beautiful game really is for everyone.
