Girls Football Development Days
Inspiring the Next Generation: Annual Girls’ Sport Development Days at JCS
Over the last two Wednesdays, we have been delighted to welcome over 200 girls to JCS for our Annual Girls’ Sport Development Days!
The aim of these fantastic events is to give girls the opportunity to experience a range of sports in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment. We hope that by trying new activities, building confidence and discovering the enjoyment sport can bring, the girls will feel inspired to take their experiences back to their own school communities and encourage other girls to get involved in sport.
Throughout the days, the girls took part in a wide variety of exciting activities, including football, Crazy Catch, Ultimate Frisbee and Target Goal Shooting. There was also the opportunity to enjoy a stadium tour, which included a look around our brand-new South Stand, as well as a history workshop where the girls took part in a Q&A session with sports leaders from Kirton Middlecott.
Adding to the excitement, Percy Penguin also joined in the fun, helping to make the days even more memorable!
We are incredibly proud to have welcomed so many girls to JCS over the past two weeks. Events like these play an important role in inspiring the next generation, showing girls that sport is for everyone and encouraging them to be positive role models within their school communities.
A huge thank you to Mat and his team at Boston Schools Sports Partnership for their continued support in making these incredible events possible. We look forward to welcoming even more girls to JCS in the future and continuing to inspire a lifelong love of sport!
