SOCIAL ACTION PROJECT - BOSTON WEST ACADEMY
The Premier League Primary Stars Social Action Project is all about giving young people the opportunity to make a real difference in their communities. The programme encourages primary school pupils aged 5–11 to identify local issues, research the needs of those around them, and deliver a project that creates positive change.
We are proud to be working with our partner school, Boston West, on this year's Social Action Project with their Year 6 pupils. The children have come up with an inspiring idea to create a Wellbeing Area next to the playground—a safe and welcoming space where pupils can go when they need a moment to relax, recharge, or simply cheer themselves or others up during the school day.
This project has been designed and driven by the Year 6 children, who are passionate about leaving a lasting legacy at their school. They want to create something that will continue to benefit the pupils at Boston West for years to come, promoting kindness, inclusion, and positive mental wellbeing and linking to their school’s CARE and the PLPS values!
To help bring this fantastic idea to life, we are reaching out to local businesses and members of the community for support.
Donations of pallets, plants, seating, stones/gravel, wood, compost, garden gloves, outdoor paint, outdoor games, sensory items, decorations, or any other resources that could enhance the wellbeing space would be greatly appreciated.
By supporting this project, you'll be helping a group of young people turn their vision into reality while making a lasting impact on the wellbeing of future generations of pupils at Boston West.
If you or your business would like to get involved and support this wonderful initiative, we'd love to hear from you. Please email either: community@bufc.co.uk / ryan.pick@bufc.co.uk / lewis.cook@bufc.co.uk / Jamie.lawrence@bufc.co.uk
Together, we can help create a special place where children can feel supported, valued, and ready to thrive.
Thank you for helping our Year 6 pupils leave a legacy of kindness and care for their school community.
Take a look at the area we are looking to develop, stay tuned to see the progress over the next few weeks.
