At Boston United, we are passionate about helping young players develop the technical foundation, confidence, and game understanding needed to thrive in football. Following the recent launch of our Emerging Talent Pathway, we are excited to offer a fresh opportunity for ambitious young players to develop their skills in a professional and supportive environment.

Here are the details for our upcoming September trials:

Tuesday 1st September - U8 / U9 / U10 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Wednesday 2nd September - U11 / U12 / U13 - 7pm to 8pm

Wednesday 2nd September - U14 / U15 / U16 - 8pm to 9pm

Classroom Analysis Sessions

Recently, our U13s and U14s have been coming to training early to take part in Match Analysis and Match Preparation sessions.

These sessions are key to helping our players reflect on both their individual and team performances. By analysing their experiences, identifying positives and areas for improvement, and discussing how they can apply their learning, our players are developing valuable habits that will support their growth throughout the season ahead.

It’s fantastic to see their commitment and willingness to learn, and we look forward to seeing how this continues to support their development both on and off the pitch.

IDP’s

Individual player development is at the heart of everything we do at the academy. Every player has their own Individual Development Plan (IDP), designed to maximise their strengths while continuing to develop every aspect of their game.

Last week, our U13s took part in their first IDP chats while watching Boston United’s National League Cup encounter against Birmingham City PL2.

The sessions provided an opportunity for players to reflect on their development, identify key areas for improvement and set clear targets for the weeks ahead. All of our U13 players now have a clear understanding of what they need to work on and focus on as they continue their development throughout the season.

It’s fantastic to see our young players taking ownership of their development and embracing the opportunities to learn and improve.
